PORTRAIT & COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHER
UTAH & WORLDWIDE

Hi there! My name is Whitney, and I’m pleased to have you here.

My story begins at the age of 12 in Castle Rock, Colorado. It was there that I first picked up a tiny point and shoot camera, and started taking pictures of everything around me (mainly my cat, horse, and siblings).

I started professional training in photography at George Mason University in 2015. It was there that I was introduced to lighting, posing, and creating images based on conceptual ideas and messages.

After a year of training, I married the love of my life – Chris – and transferred to BYU. Here I began my business, and am graduating soon with a B.A. in Design, with an Emphasis in Photography. While I’m finishing my degree, I’ve been gaining experience in the commercial world of photography.

Outside of the photography world, I am passionate about creating artistic projects that are meaningful to me. Causes that I care about include supporting research for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, supporting victims of physical and sexual abuse, and others.

I believe in self love, courage, and living a full, whole life. That’s about me in a nutshell! I would love to hear more about you. Go on over to my contact page and say hello. I look forward to hearing from you!

Paris

I love to travel. This photo is from a recent summer I spent exploring Europe. Paris was such a beautiful, fun city!

Monet

I've loved Monet's paintings ever since I was a little girl. It was a moment of a lifetime to see his waterlilies in real life, at the Musee d' Orangerie.

Vik

There's nothing like exploring nature, with windswept hair and stunning views. This photo was taken at Vik, Iceland - one of the most dangerous and beautiful beaches in the world.
