I am a product photographer who creates stylish, scroll-stopping images for beauty and wellness brands.

I take pride in building lasting client relationships, perfecting the lighting for every set, and ensuring the shoot day runs smoothly. I have worked with companies such as Charlotte Tilbury, Alani Nutrition, Decorté Cosmetics, Bloom, DIME Beauty, and more. My images have graced billboards, store displays, and magazines for Target, GNC, and Ulta Beauty nationwide.

While I am based in Utah, I partner with brands globally (and in a variety of industries). Whether you have a new beauty product to debut or a new snack to unwrap, I am excited to create imagery that will captivate your audience.

For Photographers:

How I went from novice photographer to working with global beauty and wellness brands

I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a photographer - my family was very artistic, and my grandma was a photographer in Sweden. I didn’t have a clue how to make a living in the industry, but I was determined to find a way.

Upon entering college, I started taking art, design, and photography classes. I rented a camera from my university because I couldn’t afford to buy one, and started shooting everything I could - from weddings to events with foreign ambassadors in D.C. I became an intern for George Mason University and took photos for the Al Mutanabbi Street Starts Here project in Washington D.C.

Throughout this time, I came across product photography in a class, and I instantly knew this was what I wanted to do. I loved the technical process of working in the studio, and the puzzle-solving process of lighting objects in the most beautiful or emotive way. The variety of each project excited me, and I was thrilled to work with other talented creatives as cohorts.

I started treating each college class assignment as a project from a client that I could display proudly. I shared my work on social media and got my first client - a local start-up beauty brand.

While working with them, I created images in my tiny old attic apartment with torn blue carpet that was probably filled with asbestos. I filled vending machines to earn money while in school. In my spare time, I worked hard to create and deliver the best images I could from my tiny attic. One of these images was used as a store display in Riley Rose (a beauty store started by Forever 21). I saw that image on display for the first time in their store in Times Square, NYC. That was a pivotal moment where I thought “Wow, maybe I can do this.”

After graduating from college, I worked a 9-5 job as a product photographer for an agency for almost two years, while building my clientele on the side. The pay was dismal, although my coworkers were fantastic.

In 2020 I left that job and worked as a freelance photographer, running my own business. I have grown my business from $40k in yearly revenue to over six figures. I am passionate about my work and am always learning to improve my craft and business.

I do not buy into the starving artist trope. Creativity and art are crucial elements to every successful brand, and artists deserve to be paid well for their work.

I have created product photography courses and free resources to provide support and education for those new to the industry. Visit the education portion of my website to learn more.
